what a chily day...........

It has been so chilly and miserable today; hard to believe its the middle of May. The last few days have been so rainy, this was the first chance to mow the yard. Now if the "helicopters" would stop falling. I remember being in grade school and playing with them on the playground. Back then, we loved them, now they are a pain. I wanted to stop at the local thrift stores but didnt . I also didnt make it to the plant sale this morning . It was cancelled due to the morning rain.

My youngest daughter is 17, will be 18 in about 8 days. She graduates in june . I am excited but sad at the same time. I guess thats possible to be. I remember them being little and playing in the yard. The sound of their little giggly voices is something I wont ever forget. That sound is forever in my memory. Sam( Samnatha) is now 21, She is in Missouri with her fiance's parents. He is serving the rest of his tour in Iraq. Please, stay safe Daniel. Sam loves you!

I traded some hostas for a few cannas and lilys. One side of our home is sunny and the other shady, so I have a variety of plants. I also got some bulbs, fuzzy little things, that i am not sure what they are. A friend gave them to me and they are going in the ground soon.

Rondell at tomatoe creek prims posted a pic of the coolest patriotic pears. what an awesome prize she received!!

spaghetti is cooking on the stove and sauce is done.
bye for now, kim

  4. Kim,
I think each and every part of our kids lives are bittersweet. There are good parts and bad. I know my kiddos are going to grow up faster than I want them to, but I also look for the joy in what the future holds, too. Someday I hope to see my kids with their own families, happy and thriving....

It's cool and chilly here in central Pennsylvania, too. I saw the sun for a bit this morning but it's gone now. I don't know what I'll do today. Probably sew a bit more. Almost have another tote done!

Can't wait to see your yard in bloom this year!

    Have a great weekend!
