memorial day..........

what a great weekend i have had!!

my daughter , Storm, won the discus throw in regionals on saturday, turned 18 and also was named prom queen the same night! she said it was the best birthday ever!!
i am so happy for her and glad to know that she made great memories this weekend.

my late uncle john, said that no matter what you do , you are making memories. it doesnt have to just be things that turn out great but everything that you do. you can find something good even in a bad day. say it rains ; forget the picnic plans, go out and sing and dance in the rain. let the kids splash in the puddles. those are memories too.

how about making Memorial Day not just a day to honor the ones who have served our country or family that have passed on, but also make it a day to MAKE memories to pass on to others.
hugs, kim

  3. Wow! What a weekend! Sounds like a very good one to me!

I agree with your Uncle, every thing is a memory. I think often people try too hard to make things memorable, like the perfect vacation, perfect trip, perfect day....sometimes just hanging out doing something very simple that you love is WAY better than anything else :)

    Hugs!
