"Spent the morning in the kitchen"
:) :) :) :)
The last day ot two we have picked a bunch of tomatoes and a whole bunch more of peppers and cukes. I need to get a pic of our little garden, you would be amazed at how much stuff we are getting for such a tiny little space. I wanted to get the tomatoes and some peppers used up and out of the way. Salsa was the first thing that came to mind. Let me tell ya, I love salsa! I could eat it everyday. :)

I don't can or cold pack it; I freeze it.
It's so much easier, doesn't heat up the kitchen and I think it tastes fresher. Right before serving, I always add a squirt of lime juice to it.

We are going to a friend's home to put up new ceiling lights, socialize and have supper later today
Be back soon, :)
I've never even considered freezing as an alternative for salsa - you are brilliant! :)
ReplyDeleteYour salsa looks wonderful. Freezing is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to have run across your blog this morning...I'm an Ohio blogger and free groceries for a year sounds great! I went and registered and put a link on my own blog, because I have several Ohio readers.
