Snow Again??

We have been listening to the weather reports off and on for at least 24 hours now.

Girls, I think its going to be a big one!!

Our area is predicted to get 6-10 inches of snow plus the freezing rain. Geez, so much for doing anything over the weekend. :(

Anyone remember the blizzard of 1978 in Ohio?

OHIO BLIZZARD

I am going in the morning to get milk, bread and a couple extra packs of batteries; just in case.

I found 2 packs of stitching cloth today at the thrift store. They were less than $1.00 each and contain, aida cloth, linen, and osanburg.
I think I might work on a little project while the snowing is blowing outside. :)

  1. Today when the storm starts I'm off, BUT tomorrow I have to be at work at 6am. I am hoping the roads will be cleared by then.

  2. Hope your weather doesn't get too bad. We had threats of snow and sleet yesterday and into last night which delayed our schools but looks like just a dusting of snow with some ice. Not as bad as predicted, thank goodness!! Stay warm!!

  3. Up here in NW Ohio we are only supposed to get 2". DH told DD and me this morning that we should go to Columbus for the weekend. 2 years ago we were there and got snowed in for the weekend - remember that snowfall? We were watching the girls state basketball tournament that got cancelled! Have fun being snowed in and work on those stitcheries! ~Ann

  5. I remember that blizzard in '78 like it was yesterday!
I was 10 years old. My mom worked 3rd shift at the hospital in town, and couldn't get home for a day or two. Us kids had the house all to ourselves! We were in heaven!
I'm ready for the snow...bring it on!!

  8. I remember the blizzard of '78. I was 19 and estatic that I didn't have to go to work that day. My parents and I huddled around our hot oven, with the door open, wrapped in blankets. Probably wasn't the safest thing to do. :)
    Thanks for posting that pic!
