Good morning!!
This is going to be a short post. I am waiting on a friend to pick me up and go do a little shopping. We are going toward Seville, Ohio.
Alot of gals have been talking about wanting noodle boards/stove top covers. so I thought I would share mine for show and tell.
This noodle board is actually a piece of counter top that I got from lowes for free!! (This is the part that would be cut out for a sink).
They had probably 6-7 sitting there and I asked for one. as you can see in the second pic the laminate side was NOT painted. I left it laminate so if I wanted to use it for cutting or slicing I could.
All I did was sand the edges a little with a sanding block, paint, add stars, distress and finish with a clear acrylic.
The best part is the board was free!!! Yea!!!
Good idea Kim!!! Never would have thought of that.

Kim,
ReplyDeleteYou know, I don't know what Jer did with that piece of ours. I think he actually tossed it last week :( I don't need it, though because you got me thinking months back when you shared your idea with me and I realized I had a board in the shed :) I LOVE my noodle board :)
What a great and inexpensive way to get a noodle board!! Thanks for sharing!!~Wendy
