what's new??

Whats new with you?? Today is "Whatcha working on Wednesday" at Leslie's blog-
http://sweets-mycountryhome.blogspot.com/

so make sure you post a project for today.

This is a pic of the Chocolate Miracle Whip cake . I got the recipe from my friend Cookie at
CYO forums. Let me tell ya, its wonderful!!!

Chocolate Miracle Whip Cake

8x8 pan
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons soda
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup miracle whip
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:Mix all ingredients together and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Just a note: don't taste the batter...just wait for the cake to be done, then enjoy. It is very moist.

As you can tell by my pic I made the cake bigger than an 8x8. lol
Heck, that would be just a smell around here.
This is the same recipe I just added more ingredients, after getting the math part figured out. lol

Here is the recipe for a 9x13 pan.

Miracle Whip Cake

3 cups cake flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
6 tablespoons cocoa
3 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups miracle whip
1 1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons vanilla
Mix all ingredients until blended. Pour batter into a 9-by-13-inch pan.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

Thank you Cookie!!!!

  1. Yum, chocolate cake. I've made cakes with sour cream but never miracle whip. I think I'll have to try that one.
The bottle brush tree is really unique. I've never seen anything like it. That would be quite the conversation piece in the garden.
    Have a great day! :)

  6. How do you ALWAYS find such great Prim deals at YS? That very rarely happens around here!

I have had the Miracle Whip cake before. It is good...you just never think it will be though with that combo...Miracle Whip and chocolate! LOL

Nope, I don't have a window treatment like that :D We had cats in the past but they all had MANY issues. Riley went outside almost years ago and that's where she still is. She likes it out there...doesn't even try to sneak back in! And now we have Midnight, who just showed up here at the beginning of the spring. They will ALWAYS be outside. There is no convincing Jer otherwise and honestly, I had enough, too! LOL Aften just keeps asking when Jer's going to change his mind! Good luck on that one! LOL

Never saw a tree like that before! Very interesting!

    Have a great day!
