show & tell project-prim chalkboard

Good morning!
Finished this little project up on Monday but thought I would wait until Thursday's show and tell to show it to you. :) I took and old chalkboard removed the wood trim off and added my own to make it more prim. I used some of the barnwood scraps. I am trying not to waste any of it whatsoever. Chalkboard was a thrift store find, 99 cents.

Before

After-please pardon the glare, I had to have the flash on.

I even picked up an old eraser at the thrift store too, a whole 19 cents!!

Its early morning for me but there are several yard sales in the neighborhood. One is 4 houses down ( about 1/4 mile) and it is a 10 family sale. Wish me luck!! :)

We have not made any definite plans for the weekend; have you??

  12. What a great transformation! I will be on the lookout for an old chalkboard. I love the "new" old trim! I will be making a goodwill trip this morning...I hope I find some goodies. Well wait! I told myself not to buy anymore "junk" because my to-do pile is getting so big. But I have no boys for a couple hours this morning, so I'm taking advantage of it! :) Have a great day!
