Brownies, Gravy & Today's Agenda...........

Good morning,
I have been pretty busy cleaning and reorganizing my craft stuff. It is a mess!!
We are also planning on joining a community yard sale on Saturday.
Right now, I am drinking coffee and reading last night's paper. I circled a couple yard sales that sound promising for today. I will post some pics if I find anything good. :)
Here are my recipes for Fat Friday.............
Tomato gravy

Ingredients
1 quart tomato juice
2 tablespoons butter or maragrine
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
salt
pepper
sugar
Directions
1 Pour tomatoes in a saucepan or skillet.
2 Add butter.
3 Simmer juice over medium heat about 15 minutes.
4 mix your flour and milk in a bowl until smooth, and add to tomato juice , stirring well.
5 Add salt, pepper, and sugar to taste.
6 If it's too thick, add a little more milk. If it's too thin, either simmer on low until it's the desired thickness, or mix up a bit more flour and milk and add to your juice.
7 That's it! Serve over homemade biscuits, cornbread, potatoes, meatloaf or whatever you like!

  10. Oh my. I haven't heard of Tomato gravy. That probably would be good over rice like Lisa said above, OR pasta. I might surpise the hubby tomorrow with the brownie cups. He'd love that. Thanks for sharing.
